What I don’t like about Outlast/Whistleblower - I think it’s a bit of a missed opportunity to not have our protagonists speak. But i must admit Outlast is far from perfect game and it's still has so many flaws that i expect they would fix on future Outlast games

So i expect they would add more diverse character with less problematic action in future games (we're talking about Outlast villains so all of them would be problematic. The whole Val's gender sparks a lot of arguments and drama since her action was really problematic for representation. This one a bit personal but i think they should make better character for LGBTQ+ representation.There's no cult family dynamic in Outlast 2 so the cult theme feels a bit bland (At least fanfiction did spice up the story. After i played some cult themed games like Far Cry 5 and Resident Evil 8, i really envy those game for their better cult story. It has such potential, yet they only give us 70% run, 30% story. I really wish they would expand the Temple Gate story.And you can see Eddie figure would definitely sells like hotcakes lol It doesn't have to be exclusive $60 fancy figures, it can be small figures that cost like $20. This is not about the game, but i don't get why Red Barrels skip the opportunity of Outlast villains merchandise like action figure.Your favorite character is underrated? Prepare to feels like your character is forgotten by the fandom and the game lmao.

Again about favoritism, feels like RB would only mention / post about main villain and fan favorite.

This is really unfair IMO, all villains (major villains at least) deserves backstory, not just one or two clues about their past Then there's Nick and Laird, with little to no backstory at all. Val has her own game chapter and diary but somehow i feel like it's still vague. But in Outlast 2, they only give Knoth the whole backstory. Eddie has a whole backstory, Trager and Chris has his own comic chapter, Frank only has little but enough for a backstory.

Did i mention about the lack of villain story ? I really, really HATE how they only focus to popular characters, especially comparing to Outlast and Outlast 2.

Sure reading these stuffs are really fun but still, documents and notes should be additional info for the story instead. I really wish Outlast would no longer 100% rely on documents and notes for the story. This also include such things like character background stories and their motivation.

And i think there should be more interactions between villains and protagonist, not just chase and torture.

Outlast feels like running simulator sometimes, that's why i only replay the part where we meet the villain most of the time.

However, the it should be balanced between their screen time and chase scene. I get it that it's horror game where we're gonna be chased. Simon Peacock looks normal in the game, but rottening and covered in maggots in the comic.Implying that it has multiplying ability that wasn't explained in the game) There's only one Walrider in the game, but there are three Walrider in the comic chapter 3.Too much contradictive / confusing part in the lore.What i dislike from Outlast in General / The whole series : TLDR The game is unbalanced on Horror and Story part and they also need to adjust the villains screen time
